Remembering our pasts in Nigeria, in the UK, how does it compare to now?

Bola came, she had never sewn before.
She learned how to thread up a sewing machine.
Bola made a cushion cover.

Christiana carried on making her blouse. Discovered it's too small.

Liz looked at:
Language into Leeds: Amplifying migrants voice through culture, sport and the arts.
A pan university project between Leeds University, Leeds Beckett University and Migration Yorkshire looking for different sources of funding to support different projects in the city for Refugees and Asylum Seekers.

Laura sorted through the fabric kindly donated by Ann, Donna and Ros.

We discussed the need to feel relaxed and confident in order to learn. If you are fearful you can't learn.

Happy International Women's Day 2017

Lotte and Liz

Awa made an amazing orange dress, Christy worked on her tunic and Josephine finished the INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY BANNER

We enjoyed lunch together, worked hard and were brilliant women of the world!
