'maququ'  (pronounced marcuk) Arabic for 'bobbin'
'mazura' Arabic for 'measurement'

Mavis started a skirt.
Samira learned
to use a sewing machine and started a bag.
Rukhsana cut fabric.
Green Grow and Liz discussed volunteering opportunities.
Diana designed and started cutting the fabric for an 'elasticly engineered' top and skirt.
Green Grow made us all purses.

We discussed Arabic culture...In some Arabic countries  'yellow'  means 'selfishness' in people and a yellow flower means jealousy.

Over lunch, we met and discussed the funding and how to use the money and what to do going forward. Liz took minutes.
Jones played and drew and talked and entertained.
Bola sewed her skirt.
Kavitha started an embroidery.

It was a busy afternoon and lots of fun.

This week we found out we got the Seed Bed funding.

We also learned about the machine and how to change the tension.
Our zip learning was put on hold.
Bola was busy making a skirt, Green Grow and Lillian made real headway with their bags. Christy sewed frantically and then left in a blur, I didn't see what she did.
